The Orsay Museum |
For the lovers of 19th century art, the Orsay museum is certainly a must to visit, where one can discover the most prestigious and complete French Impressionist collection. The building itself is a wonderful showcase for this period of art. Built for the 1900 World Fair, as a luxurious train station and hotel, it was brilliantly transformed in 1986, to allow a complete and logical study of the works.

The Cluny Museum |
This is a little gem of a museum.
Set in early third century Roman baths and in the 15th c. flamboyant
Gothic mansion of the Cluny abbotts, it houses an amazing collection of
medieval art and artifacts, including the tapestries of the Lady and the
Unicorn. |

The Marmottan Museum |
This small museum, housed in a private 19th c. mansion and hidden in the charming residential Passy district, contains the world's largest collection of paintings by Claude Monet, as well as works by his friends and contemporaries. Also features a group of illuminated manuscripts from the 12th to the 15th centuries and an important collection of Napoleonic furniture. | ||||||||||

If you have a larger group, a reservation must be made to visit the museum at an allocated time slot. Groups should not have more than 25 participants. This reservation costs 30 euros for the Louvre museum, 30 euros for the Orsay museum and is free of charge for the others. We can make this reservation for you with a minimum of one month notice. |
